What You Will Study

The Theatre Arts, BA is a flexible liberal arts degree in which students study the comprehensive skills required to succeed in the field of theatre as well as related fields that demand superior critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills. It is an ideal degree for students with multiple interests in theatre, a special interest in directing or dramaturgy, as well as students who wish to combine theatre training with other academic disciplines.

In order to be accepted into the Theatre Arts, BA, students must complete an application and interview.

Theatre arts majors must attain a minimum grade of C- (1.7) in all required theatre courses and must maintain a GPA of 2.0 in major coursework. All theatre courses are restricted to declared theatre arts majors.

The degree requires a minimum of 120 s.h. as follows:
